Garon 1st appeared in Astro Boy, then he recieved his own series, and later
showed up in the
Magma Taishi series, as the evil Goa returned to Earth looking
for revenge and manipulated the alien giant into attacking the planet believing
Garon, now known as Black Gallon, would be the extra strength needed
to defeat
 Ambassador Magma and take over our world!

The Garon Tin Robot is much sought after by collectors, both  wind Up & battery versions. One like it sold at an on
line auction site last year for upwards of $350.00. The chest plate raises to reveal his "Heart".

In the late 70's, "A" manufactured a series of interlocking plastic assembly playsets including Garon,(Kit #22) &
Magma Taishi(Kit # 21) ( Both available while supplies last, in our Collectors Item Classic Store.) Below is the art from
the side panel (Right) of Garon Kit 22( center) and art from back of box (left) depicting all four sets offered by "A".

The Black Gallon acts as the castle, in this 2005 Osamu Tezuka Character Chess set, which also contains
Magma Taishi as the opposing castle, and Kimba The White Lion  and Astro Boy as opposing Kings. The
set comes in two versions, examples of BOTH are below, a full color hand painted version and a crystal version.
